I believe I’ve
mentioned that Expressive is a curly-head. Her hair, as of today, was down past
her neck.
When scrunched,
it fell into beautiful curls.
Well, last night
we were getting ready to treat and wash her hair, just to get it thoroughly
cleaned.
Well, we decided
that it was a lot of work to treat that much hair, so we cut it.
Yep, that’s
right!
Expressive right before...not sure what to think about this sudden development |
Pick up the scissors and... |
She now has a
pretty bob.
In case you were
wondering, Mom was in on this plan;
(unlike some other spur-of-the-moment haircuts in years past) actually, she cut
it!
So that was a
bit of an adventure.
Today we went to
a nine o’clock ward. We were sitting in sacrament meeting, and Emergent pulled
her old watch out of her bag. It hadn’t been changed from home time, and it was
7:10 at home!! That made me feel
tired all of a sudden.
After church,
due to some unforeseen circumstances, we ended up returning to my Aunt and
Uncle E ’s home (they fit
right in with our family! They share our last name, and two of the three of
them have E first names as well!)
After we said
our second set of goodbyes, we went to the D.C. temple’s Visitor’s Center.
My sisters and I
explored and played while the two grown-ups made plans.
Then we drove
for a while, down to a campground in Maryland.
You know, when
we’re at these campgrounds, we live pretty good.
They usually
have a pool, a laundry, showers and other fun things.
This one had a
mini-golfing place, a pool, showers and all that, and a place to kayak or
canoe!
Since it was
Sunday, we didn’t get to go kayaking, but
we still enjoyed the lovely trees and
scenery…
…until it
started to rain.
I wish we could
send some of that rain home! There is altogether too much rain here, and not
enough in Utah.
Of course, if
that happened everything would have the same climate, which would be boring.
So I guess
moving rain to Utah doesn’t have to go on my bucket list :)
