Quiz!
(I
may be a homeschooler, but I do know what those are!):
In
what important political document are these words found?
“We the people of
the United States, in order to form a more perfect union...”
- The Constitution of the National Worker's Foundation
- The Preamble to the Constitution
- A speech given by Martin Luther King Jr.
I sincerely hope that this quiz was not difficult. If it was,
maybe you should look into homeschooling (totally kidding!!)
Well, those words were written (or at least signed) inside of
Independence Hall, which was our first stop.
It was built to be the
Pennsylvania State House. The Second Continental Congress met here. Also, the
Constitutional Convention. George Washington was appointed Commander-in-chief,
and the Articles of Confederation were adopted.
It is an eventful
building!
We also went to the
Independence Visitor’s Center, and to the Liberty Bell.
Then we drove up to D.C.
It was about nine before we got there. We went to stay at my Aunt E ’s
That
day was my cousin E ‘s
birthday (their names actually start with E).
We
slept at that house for the night.
