Day Thirteen; Saturday, the 12th of July, 2014

Yesterday we started out the day with the Sacred Grove. That was a temple. Really.

It may have been outside, but the wonderful, peaceful feeling of a temple was there.

I know that the ground inside the grove is sacred. Christ DID come there, Him and the Father.

It was similar to Adam Ondi Ahmam. However the sacred feeling in Adam Ondi Ahman was hushed, expectant, waiting.

The Sacred Grove has a feeling of joy, quiet but piercing and jubilant. Not earthly. A feeling of fulfillment. I felt so happy there.

I also found myself conducting a self-examination. Would I be worthy if Jesus came? I learned some important things. It is a question that would be good to ask more often.

We also visited the Smith homes, the board house and the log house.

We visited the Peter Whitney Sr. home where the church was organized. I thought that they should have had a small stone outside, because the whole time I was thinking about the prophecy in Daniel, where the small stone, cut without hands, rolls forth to fill the world.

The restoration began when a pure young boy offered his heart to God in fervent prayer in the Sacred Grove (though the preparation started a long time ago), but this is where the church was officially organized.

It started with six members. Six people were baptized to stand as a witness to truth, and to have their sins cleansed. Now there are more than fifteen million members world-wide.

Next stop was the Grandin press, where the Book of Mormon was printed. I could not believe how much work it was to print something! Of course, it was loads better than hand-writing each book, but still! I really enjoyed visiting that place. It is now a big visitor center.

We then rushed up to the top of the Hill Camorah and back.

Once we got to the hotel and made, ate, and cleaned up dinner, we went swimming. We had a scary experience.

Mom and Auntie were shopping. Dad was watching the kids. Enchantress and Enthusiastic had life jackets on, and were swimming pretty fearlessly, especially Enthusiastic.

Someone else took Enchantress’s life jacket, so Dad sat really close to watch her. He was watching really closely, since she could only touch on the stairs.

Then we had a little problem and Dad was talking to Emergent and I, trying to figure out a solution. His attention had been diverted from Enchantress.

Then Enthusiastic came over and said Enchantress was crying. She added, “I love my sister so much, that when I saw her under the water, I swam over and saved her.”

You can bet that made Dad’s heart leap into his throat. Thanks to the Lord and Enthusiastic, she was fine. Thank heavens Enthusiastic is such a good swimmer!

I love all my sisters so much and I am so thankful that they are all safe!
