Since
my words are working again, I guess I’ll summarize today.
We
drove to Boston early this morning. We were all still asleep when we pulled out
(well, everyone except the driver -- which was a good thing). It was about a quarter to five.
We
drove to a town that used to be Braintree, but is now Quincy.
We
stopped a little before that and shopped. We did a lot of techy things today,
and didn’t see very many sights.
We did
visit the Adams’ homes, though (as in John Adams, and John Quincy Adams).
The
first couple were cool, but I have seen several others like it.
At
least that’s what I thought until we got into the last two buildings.
The
second-to-last was furnished with only original items. So everything in there
was owned by one of the Adams'.
That
was exquisite.
My favorite was the last building. For a moment
when I walked in, I thought I had died and gone to heaven (then I realized it
couldn’t be heaven… I was too hot and tired and my extended family wasn’t
there!).
There
were thousands of books, lining the walls. About thirteen thousand volumes. All
of them original to the Adams.
Wow.
Once we
finished we headed to the ‘home and tried to find somewhere to park for the
night, fill and dump.
We did,
after a bit of a search, find one.
Then we
went to sleep.
I was
sleeping on the top bunk with Expressive, and I was closer to the edge. We were
parked a little slanted, so I kept waking up having almost rolled off the bed.
It was a bit annoying.
We
didn’t do much after we fell asleep, just kinda laid around with our eyes shut.
Humans
are weird that way.
