We totally
missed the bus this morning!!! It was crazy. We were stressed and frustrated.
We were very mixed up, and didn’t know where we were. We were lost.
Everyone
was in a bad mood. Tempers were exploding. Things were looking grim. We didn’t
know if we would survive the day (jk).
We
pulled over to the side of a random road, figuring we were just going nowhere
faster by driving. I suggested we say a prayer.
You
won’t believe what happened next. We finished the prayer and dad said, “Look
out the window. You are about to see a miracle.”
I
looked out the window and to my surprise and astonishment I saw the bus drive
by!
Now
I know what you are thinking. This could be coincidence. To prove it wasn't I could list several things; just pulled over by a random road, we had lost the bus a long time ago, and we couldn’t even figure it out on the
GPS or online.
I could point to these to show it was a miracle, but you are
right. It could have been coincidence.
It could have been, except it wasn’t.
As
we pulled in line behind the bus I felt a powerful sense of love. A few minutes
later I heard the words to a primary song that was playing, “I know Heavenly
Father loves me.” I could definitely feel His love then. He loved us enough to send His Son, and he also loves us enough to send little miracles.
We then
drove to the Susquehanna River.
As we drove it was pouring rain. A half-hour or
so before we arrived, the rain lessened, and then stopped altogether.
We went
to a little place that was only accessible by a dirt road. If it had been
raining, or the ground even a little wetter, we wouldn’t have been able to
reach the river.
My
favorite sights before that had been Adam-Ondi-Ahman and the Sacred Grove.
That
day a third sight of beauty and peace was added to that list; the banks of the
Susquehanna River.
It was
simply beautiful, in a way that went straight to my heart.
